Netaji had his ‘Communication’ secret in his ‘Actions’: Renuka Malaker
'Friday Dialogue' program held at IIMC
New Delhi, 22 January- "Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose believed in action more than speaking. In fact, the secret of his 'Communication' was hidden in his actions", the views were expressed by Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose's grandniece and Secretary General of Netaji Subhash Bose-INA Trust, Ms. Renuka Malaker. She was the invited speaker of the program 'Friday Dialogue' organised by the Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) on Friday. On this occasion, the Director General of IIMC Prof. Sanjay Dwivedi and Additional Director General Shri K. Satish Namboodiripad was also present.
Expressing her views on the topic 'Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose: A Communicator', Ms. Malaker said that Netaji was one of those great freedom fighters of India, who gave a new energy to the whole nation. His personality is the source of inspiration for youth of today's era also. The slogan 'Jai Hind' given by him became the national slogan for the whole country. Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose inspired millions with his ideas.
According to Renuka Malaker, Netaji believed in the idea of equality between man and woman. A true man is the one who respects the woman in every situation. This was the reason that he set up the 'Rani Jhansi Regiment' in Azad Hind Fauj, presenting a unique example of women empowerment. He initiated many practices which ended the patriarchal dominance in the society.
Ms. Malaker further said that the dream of modern India that we are able to foresee today was envisioned by Netaji long ago. His vision for India was far ahead of his time. Netaji used to say that if we really want to empower India, then we need to take the right approach and the youth have an important role in this task.
On this occasion, the Director General of IIMC Prof. Sanjay Dwivedi said that if we want to remember Netaji, then we should ensure that our thoughts as a communicator should reach out to the last person of the group.
He said that Netaji became popular before independence when the means of communication were limited and the important reason was Netaji's ease and simplicity. Prof. Dwivedi said that Netaji's thoughts were exhibited in his actions. With his ideas, he opened up new doors of success for the unsuccessful and disappointed people.
The programme was conducted by Prof. Pramod Kumar and vote of thanks was given by Prof. Sunetra Sen Narayan.
